Amanda Murphy
Interim Director of Student Ministries
Amanda grew up in Copperfield Church. She was very involved in the children and youth ministries as a student, and has been serving as a student ministry volunteer for eight years. She is also serving as a Deacon.
Amanda Graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Horticulture and a minor in event management. After graduation, she interned at the church as a Summer Youth Intern. During this time she led a girl's bible study, discipled students, and helped to plan and lead youth events. After that summer, she worked for two years with Athletes in Action, which is part of CRU. While working for AIA her responsibilities included sharing her faith with college students on the A&M campus, leading bible studies with sports groups, and discipling girls she met on the A&M sports teams. After her two years with AIA, Amanda became the head cross country and track and field coach, as well as a biology teacher, at Cy-Fair High School. She and her husband have also served as sponsors for their school's Fellowship of Christian Athletes club for two years.
Amanda is married to Brady Murphy, who is also a student ministry volunteer. In August of 2023, they welcomed their first child, Lane.
